Breast stretch marks are probably women’s main concern when comes to beauty issues. Mainly because it is the most beautiful part of a woman’s body. More often than not, most people do not understand why stretch marks also known as striae, are formed and thus it is good to have some background study to prevent sudden panic.

When the skin is stretched beyond the limits, the connective tissues in the dermis will be broken. This breakage in the collagen will cause red or purple colored marks. Not long after the breakage, the top part of the skin will start to heal but there is no repair done in the dermis. As such, scarring known as striae will occur.

During pregnancy, both hormonal and physiological changes will take place. This will happen during and after pregnancy. Breast feeding or lactation will cause the breast to stretch. Other reason being is genetic disposition. You are likely to develop striae if your family members had them too.

Most often, woman after pregnancy will develop striae. This shows that most women are genetically programmed to develop striae.

Therefore it is always good to learn how to prevent breast stretch marks from forming. Preventions are always better than cure.
