Concept

Acne is an inflammatory skin condition characterized by skin outbreaks around hair follicles. It is a common disease that mainly affects adolescents, but can also affect adults, especially those between 20 and 30 years of age. In these people acne may appear as different types of acne such as comedones (blackheads), papules (red, hard bumps), pustules (pus grains) and more rarely cysts and abscesses. The lesions are located on the face and less often in the back, chest, shoulders and neck. Acne requires treatment and there is no need to wait to for nature to resolve the problem as it is very difficult to predict how long it will take to disappear completely. The treatment can prevent the development of scars or marks, thus improving the complexion of the skin and physical appearance.

Causes
Acne is due to a series of hormonal changes that occur during adolescence. During puberty, sebaceous glands (located deep in the skin) produce an oily material called sebum caused by testosterone (male hormone). Sebum comes to the surface through small tubes (ducts) and their opening is a pore.
Obstruction of the sebaceous ducts cause it to retain sebum, forming pimples, which can be:
-White or closed
-Black or open (blackheads)
The black colour is due to the action of air on retained sebum in the pores. Sometimes an excess of retained sebum in the ducts and the duct walls swell and burst, dispensing the sebum into the skin, resulting in the formation of red, hard pimples, (internal) or abscesses. Along with this, the sebum is retained in an ideal breeding ground for skin bacteria, causing more irradiation and inflammation.
Other causes of acne, especially in adults are:
-	Pregnancy
-	Polycystic ovary syndrome
-	Cushing

If you have constant battles with acne and spots of each month, is likely to be searched for relief. By now you've probably tried every over the counter cleansers, creams and ointments that you can afford. Maybe you've seen your doctor and prescription drugs used to treat acne and blemishes. Maybe even have tried to change his diet and taking oral supplements to lighten their skin. If everything is out of options may perhaps want to look into laser treatment acne blemish. What is laser acne treatment? Laser acne treatment is an outpatient procedure performed by many plastic surgeons nationwide. Is performed using lasers that are used to quickly remove the top layer of skin on the face and then gently heat the next layer. This causes your skin to produce new collagen doses to help give your skin look younger. It also diminishes the appearance of acne blemishes and helps to raise old acne scars. Laser acne treatment is usually performed with local anesthetic administration and many physicians also offer patients a sedative to keep calm during surgery. Because there is an anesthetic, you will not feel any pain during the procedure, but your face will feel like it is sunburned for a couple of days after laser acne and blemish treatment. Are there risks involved with laser acne treatment? Acne laser treatment spots and carries some risk. Sometimes lasers can leave small scars. Doctors have worked hard to reduce this risk by using smaller lasers, but occasionally small amounts of scarring may occur. Acne Treatments Laser may also stop irregular, dark blotches on the skin, not unlike age spots – the results of sun exposure. Not all acne treatments laser develops these points, but the risk, though slight, is there. If you have herpes, talk to your doctor before having laser treatments on my face. The laser exposure can cause a herpes infection of the skin surface, so your doctor will deal with this by prescribing a strong antibiotic to be taken before the procedure. While there is a risk, we must also consider the cost of acne laser treatment and failing that, before making a decision to proceed with the procedure. Although it is an outpatient procedure is done in the office of a plastic surgeon and is often quite expensive. Insurance usually does not cover elective procedures, so carefully consider the risks and results before deciding if you can budget money for acne and blemish laser treatment.
